Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. She grew up listening mostly to classical music, old boleros along with classic ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves opera, tangos and every form of dramatic performances. Ana started learning how to sing and play music in the early years together with her mom. The formal singing instruction when she was 16 years old and studied with the world-renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. When she was a student, and a young professional, she was a part of various chamber groups as well as opera choruses in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. In 2000, she emigrated in America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she relocated to her home in southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Being a teacher and a musician Ana is a dedicated participant in many projects in the community because of her passion and love for music. Ana was also a participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her performance her love of Latin American traditional songs, she can instill a love, in particular among the younger generation to keep this tradition alive.
